Job summary

Sia, a global management consulting group, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to bring GenAI into production for client projects in Maastricht. You operate at the intersection of data science, ML/platform engineering, and client delivery.

Design and build LLM-based systems—autonomous agents, RAG pipelines, workflows, and conversational interfaces—and integrate them into client environments, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Grounding in computer science, AI, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, orchestration, and evaluation.
• Proficient in Python.
• Experience with APIs and integrating heterogeneous systems.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French or German a plus.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK.
• Experience deploying in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• MLOps/LLMOps exposure.
• Understanding of vector databases and embeddings.

Responsibilities

• Sit with client teams to identify valuable AI use cases.
• Design and implement LLM-based systems: autonomous agents, RAG pipelines, workflows, and conversational interfaces.
• Integrate solutions into client environments (APIs, databases, tools) with regulatory compliance.
• Train and onboard users to ensure adoption and value realization.
• Iterate with stakeholders to production and maximize impact.
• Bridge communication between engineers and business leaders.
