Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an energetic business development professional in the Netherlands to build a pipeline in the BESS and energy flexibility market, engaging commercial and industrial sectors.

You will generate leads, secure opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to tailor energy solutions; fluent Dutch and English are required, with around two years in sales or BD and a related bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
• Experience in the energy sector is preferred (energy supply, renewables, energy trading, or battery storage).
• Languages: Fluency in both Dutch and English is mandatory; capable of professional communication with Dutch-speaking customers and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential customers across the commercial and industrial sectors.
• Generate leads and develop new business opportunities for BESS and energy flexibility solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers and commercial partners.
• Understand customer energy needs and identify opportunities to optimise energy costs.
• Support the preparation of commercial proposals, presentations, and customer solutions.
• Assist with commercial negotiations and follow up on business opportunities.
• Monitor developments in the Dutch energy market, including battery storage, energy pricing, and grid congestion.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop commercially attractive energy solutions.
