Job summary

Michael Page Netherlands is seeking a proactive Business Development professional to drive growth in BESS and energy flexibility solutions. You will identify potential customers across commercial and industrial sectors, generate leads, and build lasting relationships with clients and partners.

You will assess customer energy needs, support commercial proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver attractive energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
• Experience in the energy sector is preferred, particularly in energy supply, renewables, energy trading, or battery storage.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, ambitious, and motivated to develop new business opportunities.
• Interest in energy flexibility, BESS, and the energy transition.
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in the Dutch energy market.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Energy, or a related field is preferred.
• Languages: Fluency in both Dutch and English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential customers across the commercial and industrial sectors.
• Generate leads and develop new business opportunities for BESS and energy flexibility solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers and commercial partners.
• Understand customer energy needs and identify opportunities to optimise energy costs.
• Support the preparation of commercial proposals, presentations, and customer solutions.
• Assist with commercial negotiations and follow up on business opportunities.
• Monitor developments in the Dutch energy market, including battery storage, energy pricing, and grid congestion.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop commercially attractive energy solutions.
