Job summary

In Amsterdam, Saxo Bank seeks a Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join the Global Desktop Support team. You will help install and support PCs, phones, and peripherals, work within Agile ceremonies, and resolve IT issues with a customer-focused approach.

You will contribute to an international, fast-paced environment, with opportunities to learn and grow while supporting end-user hardware, software, and AI tooling. Fluency in English and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS 365, MS Teams and Windows 11.
• Knowledge about AI Tools.
• Able to support application and OS installations.
• Good understanding of end-user hardware.
• Basic networking skills.
• Experience with ITIL driven ticketing systems / ServiceNOW preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supporting complex desktop environments or recently completed ICT degree.
• Experience in an international company (financial industry would be an asset).
• Fluent in English, strong communication and people skills.
• Team player, keen to learn, highly self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Build and install PCs, telephony, wireless networks and peripherals for desktop infrastructure.
• Agile ceremonies are conducted as per department guidelines.
• Work independently on technical tasks for desktop support complying to relevant best practices.
• Identify Risks and proactively seek to mitigate or minimize, and if not possible, expose, elevate, and communicate them in due time.
• Clearly explain facts, practices, policies, challenges within scope of current tasks to members of team.
• Identify automation opportunities, and self-service across all standard requests, thereby increasing throughput and time to deliver.
