Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced Interface Manager in Noord-Holland, Netherlands, to lead the implementation of an Interface Management system for a large nuclear reactor project. You will be responsible for managing the Interface Management Plan, coordinating between multiple engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards.

A degree in Engineering is required along with extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and interface management. Strong knowledge of BIM tools and construction processes is essential for success in this role.

Overview

Led the implementation of a comprehensive Interface Management system for a large‑scale nuclear reactor project, ensuring integration across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Developed and managed the Interface Management Plan (IMP) and associated procedures in compliance with nuclear regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
• Established and maintained the Interface Register, ensuring full traceability of physical, functional, and organizational interfaces between multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Coordinated interfaces between civil, structural, MEP, and nuclear/process systems, including complex installations such as hot cells and radiological protection systems.
• Directed the preparation and control of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for critical systems, ensuring technical consistency and alignment of boundary conditions.
• Facilitated regular interface coordination meetings, resolving clashes, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment between stakeholders.
• Monitored interface progress through KPI's, action trackers, and reporting tools, proactively identifying and addressing risks impacting safety, schedule, and cost.
• Integrated BIM/clash detection processes to identify and resolve design conflicts at early stages.
• Defined and managed interface responsibilities between contractors, supporting contract clarity and minimizing potential claims.
• Contributed to risk management and change control processes, ensuring effective resolution of interface-related issues.
• Ensured full compliance with nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and audit traceability.
