Our client is a leading international food and nutrition organization with large-scale production facilities in the Netherlands. They are continuously investing in their sites, infrastructure, technology, and production capabilities through complex CAPEX projects.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the construction execution of multiple CAPEX projects at a large industrial site in Bedum. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards. The projects can vary across different departments and areas of the plant, so we are looking for someone who can quickly adapt to different project environments. This is an interim position, initially for 9 months, with the possibility of extensions up to a maximum of 2 years. Start: ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site construction execution of CAPEX projects
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Ensure construction activities meet project scope, schedule, budget, and safety requirements
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and other stakeholders
• Manage site logistics, permits, inspections, and quality processes
• Monitor and report project progress, risks, and performance
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related challenges
• Prepare for and support Mechanical Completion, commissioning, and handover to Operations
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent experience
• 5–10+ years of experience managing complex industrial construction CAPEX projects
