Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or related field.
  • Proven experience in requirements and change management within technical projects.
  • Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS or similar RM tools; HVAC knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and German are a plus.
  • EU citizenship required; pre-employment security screening applies.

Job Description
As an Integration Engineer for HVAC Requirements Management, you will play a pivotal role in defining and managing system requirements for HVAC-R installations on naval vessels. Working closely with engineering, verification & validation (V&V), and test & integration (T&I) teams, you will use tools like IBM Rational DOORS and operate within the Systems Engineering V-model to ensure flawless integration of HVAC systems.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and document HVAC-R system requirements in DOORS, ensuring adherence to SMART criteria;
  • Ensure all HVAC-R requirements support engineering, V&V, and T&I activities;
  • Handle change requests within the V-model, maintaining traceability across teams;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and implement requirements and changes effectively;
  • Analyse and manage project requirement data;
  • Organise and streamline technical documentation processes within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or similar;
  • Proven experience in requirements and change management within technical projects;
  • Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS or similar RM tools; HVAC systems knowledge is a plus;
  • Strong analytical mindset, organisational skills, attention to detail, and team orientation;
