A local restaurant in Utrecht is looking for an Independent Chef Level I to join our kitchen team. Responsibilities include preparing dishes, maintaining quality and hygiene, and managing inventory. Ideal candidates should possess demonstrable cooking skills, an MBO-3 Diploma, and a solution-oriented mindset. The position offers a pleasant work environment, full-time hours, and a salary of €2,800 to €3,250. Accommodation support and training provided, alongside flexible working hours.

We are Suvai, an Indian restaurant, looking for 2 passionate

Independent Chef Level I to join our team.

Do you want to thrive in our kitchen? As our chef, you will

Your Responsibilities

• Selecting, preparing (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.), and cooking dishes according to recipes.
• Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, colour, etc.) and making adjustments as needed.
• Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
• Coordinating and directing (assistant) chefs and kitchen staff.
• Maintaining inventory, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries.
• Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
• Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
• Providing input on menu composition, changes, and methods.
