Job summary

Roti Kitchen Utrecht zoekt een enthousiaste zelfstandig werkende chef (I) voor 40 uur per week. Geen ervaring vereist; we leren je alles wat nodig is van traditionele recepten tot snelle take-away-kookvaardigheden, onder begeleiding van een vriendelijk team.

Houd rekening met MBO niveau 3 en het kunnen werken in een drukke keuken. Salaris volgens CAO: €2.700–€3.200, afhankelijk van ervaring, met fijne werkomgeving en training.

Qualifications

• Vereisten: MBO niveau 3 diploma en basis kooktechnieken.
• Kan zelfstandig werken en blijft kalm in spits momenten.
• Goede samenwerking binnen een restaurantteam en communicatieve vaardigheden.

Responsibilities

• Alleen lunch- en diner-gerechten bereiden.
• Mise en place en voorbereidende werkzaamheden.
• Kwaliteit, smaak en presentatie van gerechten waarborgen.

Roti Kitchen Utrecht, a lively Indian-Surinamese takeaway restaurant located at Adelaarstraat 112, 3514CK Utrecht, known for authentic roti, flavorful curry, and rich comforting dishes, is looking for 3 enthusiastic Independent working chef - I to join our kitchen team. No experience required! Whether you're just starting your culinary journey or looking for a fresh opportunity, we'll teach you everything you need to know, from traditional recipes to fast-paced takeaway kitchen skills, all while working alongside a friendly, supportive team. If you're passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a confident, independent working chef, we'd love to have you on board.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes
• Carry out mise en place and other preparatory tasks (cutting, mixing, portioning)
• Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes
• Apply and comply with HACCP and safety regulations
• Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, and checking products
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces
• Contribute ideas for recipes, menu updates, and more efficient processes
• Supervising compliance with regulations

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• Holds an MBO level 3 diploma of work and thinking level MBO 3.
• Someone who has demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Shows initiative and can work independently
• Can handle stress and peak busy periods effectively
• Functions well within the dynamics of a restaurant team
• Speaks Dutch or English
• Is enthusiastic, dedicated, and eager to learn
