Job summary

Ruby Hotels in Rotterdam is opening a new hotel and seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to join the team. You will oversee the cleanliness of guest rooms and public spaces, and act as the interim Housekeeping Operations Manager during absences.

You will train and coach a combined team of internal staff and external cleaners, ensuring quality standards are met and guest satisfaction remains high. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

• Previous housekeeping experience in a supervisor role.
• Good Dutch and English communication.
• Ability to train, coach and lead a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cleanliness of hotel rooms and public areas.
• Cover the Housekeeping Operations Manager during their absence.
• Manage a team of internal staff and external cleaners and ensure smooth coordination.
• Train and coach staff to maintain established quality standards.
• Coordinate external cleaning vendors, orders and delivery proofs.
• Collaborate with hosts and maintenance to meet guest wishes.

The role is set to start in September, just in time for the opening of our hotel in October. First interviews are planned for the middle of August, and those invited to our first audition will hear from us separately.

• spend most of your time on the floor, checking the cleanliness of our hotel rooms and public areas
• substitute our Housekeeping Operations Manager during their absence
• share responsibility for our housekeeping team, which includes both internal staff and external cleaning companies, and ensure the team works together smoothly
• train and coach the team, ensuring that the established quality standards are maintained and followed
• assist in coordinating the external cleaning companies, handling orders, and checking delivery bills
• work hand in hand with our hosts and hotel maintenance to fulfil the wishes of our guests
