Job summary

Ruby in Rotterdam seeks hospitality professionals to join the team as bartenders and service staff. The role focuses on creating engaging guest experiences, crafting cocktails, and contributing to a vibrant bar and hotel atmosphere.

The position offers full-time hours with the chance to grow within Ruby’s Lean Luxury concept, working in a fast-growing portfolio of hotels and workspaces across Europe.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position in lifestyle hotels or bar hotspots.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
• Reliability, multitasking and eagerness to learn.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, good sense of humor, team player.
• Excellent guest interaction skills in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cocktails, drinks and snacks with skilled moves for smooth service.
• Create or assist with drinks menu ideas and seasonally inspired offerings.
• Support bar training and lead the team where needed.
• Assist with front desk activities as part of general service duties.
• Manage goods receiving, inspection and mise-en-place according to established standards.
• Share insider tips with guests and point them to city hotspots.

We are a fast‑growing hospitality group with existing hotels and workspaces in some of Europe’s most exciting locations and many more projects under construction. We break new ground with our Lean Luxury philosophy, creating a contemporary and affordable form of luxury.

The role is set to start in September, just in time for the opening of our hotel in October. First interviews are planned for the middle of August, and those invited to our first audition will hear from us separately.

• a great sense of humour, enjoy working in a team, and love interacting with our guests
• speaking fluent Dutch and English
