Job summary

Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is seeking a Housekeeping Management Intern to support daily operations, inspect VIP rooms, and coordinate staff assignments in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will develop leadership and organisational skills while ensuring exceptional guest comfort and presentation throughout the property.

The role offers an internship opportunity with a monthly allowance and exposure to international guest services, quality audits, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Facility Management, or related study programme.
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily housekeeping operations and supporting team activities.
• Assist in preparing and inspecting VIP rooms to ensure all amenities, special requests, and presentation standards are met prior to guest arrival.
• Support the coordination of room cleaning schedules and housekeeping staff assignments.
• Monitor cleanliness, quality, and brand standards in guest rooms and public areas.
• Assist with inventory control of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning products.
• Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure room availability and guest satisfaction.
• Help manage guest requests and follow up on housekeeping-related concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the property.
• Participate in quality audits and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Prepare housekeeping reports and administrative documentation as required.
• Ensure lost and found procedures are followed accurately and professionally.
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Facility Management, or related study programme
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality guest experiences
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
• Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience or strong interest in housekeeping operations, rooms division, or hospitality
• Leadership potential and willingness to take initiative
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a detail-oriented environment with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction
• Experience with quality inspections, operational audits, or inventory management is an advantage
• Dutch or any additional language is an advantage
