Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is offering a Housekeeping Management Intern role to gain practical leadership in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will support daily housekeeping operations, inspect VIP rooms, manage schedules, and coordinate with Front Office to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in hospitality or related studies, with strong English communication and a detail-oriented, proactive mindset ready to learn and grow within PPHE Hotel Group Europe.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Facility Management, or related study programme.
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality guest experiences.
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations and support team activities.
• Prepare and inspect VIP rooms to ensure amenities and presentation standards before guest arrival.
• Coordinate room cleaning schedules and housekeeping staff assignments.
• Monitor cleanliness, quality, and brand standards in guest rooms and public areas.
• Assist with inventory control of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning products.
• Coordinate with Front Office to ensure room availability and guest satisfaction.
• Manage guest requests and follow up on housekeeping-related concerns promptly.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards across the property.
• Participate in quality audits and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare housekeeping reports and administrative documentation.
• Ensure lost and found procedures are followed accurately and professionally.
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.

As a Housekeeping Management Intern, you play a key role in supporting the housekeeping team and ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the hotel. You assist with daily operations, room inspections, VIP room preparations, inventory management, and interdepartmental coordination while developing valuable leadership, organisational, and operational management skills within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Facility Management, or related study programme
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality guest experiences
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience or strong interest in housekeeping operations, rooms division, or hospitality
• Leadership potential and willingness to take initiative
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a detail-oriented environment with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction
• Experience with quality inspections, operational audits, or inventory management is an advantage
• Dutch or any additional language is an advantage
