Job summary

Acta Marine seeks an experienced QHSSE Manager to join the Rotterdam team, guiding strategy and operations in a global maritime setting. You will report to the CEO and collaborate with the Management Team to elevate safety, quality, and sustainability.

You will drive the IMS implementation, lead cross-functional efforts, and shape ESG initiatives for sustainable growth, with hybrid working and international challenges.

Qualifications

• Academic or technical/nautical background with relevant QHSSE qualifications.
• Strategic leader capable of operating between boardroom and operations.
• Extensive QHSSE leadership experience in international, operational environments.
• Experience implementing and developing Integrated Management Systems and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a compact, international QHSSE team across disciplines.
• Define QHSSE policy to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
• Develop an organisation where safety, quality and sustainability are integrated day-to-day.
• Be accountable for design and implementation of Acta Marine’s IMS.
• Initiate and contribute to ESG strategies to minimize environmental impact.
• Analyze accident statistics, identify trends, and plan improvements.
• Translate policies into clear processes and support vessel implementation.
• Facilitate yearly management reviews and drive year plan improvements.
• Serve as CSO and DPA with a focus on strategic safety leadership.
