Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a QHSE Marine Specialist to join a dedicated team of seven QHSE Marine professionals. You will own your portfolio, advise vessels, and translate nautical regulations into practical on-board practices.

Based in Rotterdam with visits to vessels across the Netherlands and beyond, you will lead internal audits, support external inspections, and help crews apply safe working standards. The role offers development, travel, and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Relevant education in maritime/ QHSE topics.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.
• Proactive and independent work attitude expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate internal audits and support external audits and inspections.
• Act as trusted advisor to vessels and Ship Management on nautical QHSE topics.
• Translate legislation and company standards into practical onboard practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and safety standards.
