Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Agent Hi-Tech in the Netherlands to manage quotes, tracking, and vendor relations for global shipments. You will coordinate multi‑modal freight, provide cost estimates, and ensure timely invoicing while maintaining strong customer interactions.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in freight forwarding, fluent English, and proficiency with CargoWise. You’ll work closely with sales and other offices to resolve issues and maintain compliance with

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Experience of 3–5 years in freight forwarding, ideally Road Freight.
• Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in the work setting.
• A team player who works well with others, being respectful to our teammates is a Core Value!
• Customer service focus – we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our culture!
• Fluent oral and written English is a must, additional (major) European languages would be an asset
• Cargo Wise Software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services of all modes to a Global Key account, including quotes, procurement, and dispatch.
• Act as primary contact for designated customers and manage project outcomes including quoting and invoicing.
• Track shipments daily; update status in systems and coordinate with customer service for coverage.
• Quote and route freight across Domestic & International modes and services.
• Respond to emails and calls promptly with defined mailbox response times.
• Maintain daily tracking worksheet and inform customers of issues.
• Assist local sales and other offices with freight issues.
• Collect, scan, and file all paperwork daily.
• Adhere to SLA, KPI, and SOP guidelines; support safe and compliant operations.
• Execute Dangerous Goods shipments as applicable.
• Contribute to a healthy work environment by reporting safety concerns.
