Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Operations Agent Hi-Tech to support global shipments, including quoting, tracking & tracing, vendor relations, problem-resolution, and high-level customer service.

The role requires experience in international air operations, QMS compliance, and report generation, with responsibility for customer outcomes, invoicing, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Experience of 3-5 years in freight forwarding, ideally Airfreight.
• Fluent oral and written English is a must; additional major European languages are assets.
• ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work experience/regulations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services of all modes to a Global Key account, including shipment quotes, initiation of shipments in AIT systems, procurement, and dispatch of vendors to customer locations around the world and invoicing.
• Serve as the primary contact for designated customers and oversee quotes, customer service, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance, invoicing and quality management.
• Track shipments daily, maintain notes and status codes in AIT systems, and ensure comprehensive coverage with teammates during nights/weekends.
• Quoting and routing freight across Domestic & International modes.
• Respond to emails and calls promptly; aim for mailbox replies within 1 hour.
• Assist local sales and other offices with freight issues; collect, scan, and file paperwork.
