Job summary

NYX Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandt Square, part of Leonardo Hotels, seeks a Hospitality Leader to oversee a diverse team and continuously elevate guest experiences. You will train supervisors, employees and interns, implement enhanced procedures, and manage staffing with a focus on accuracy and documentation.

You will drive revenue maximization, cost control, and quality improvements, while coordinating closely with the Housekeeping partner to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level working and thinking ability; Hotel Management School is a plus.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
• Inspire your team to go the extra mile for guests.
• Eye for detail with department-wide oversight.
• Knowledge of revenue maximization and cost control.
• Proactive in decision-making and responsible.
• Good command of Dutch and English; additional language a plus.
• Flexible schedule is not a problem.

About The Job

Together with your team, you ensure a unique guest experience and optimal service every single day. You supervise your team of supervisors, employees, and interns. You train and coach them whenever necessary, and they know they can always rely on you. If you notice that certain procedures don’t fully align with guest needs, you know exactly what is required to implement new procedures. You also pass that knowledge and sense of responsibility on to your team.

You are flexible and respond proactively to changes in your team’s staffing levels. You ensure the correct administrative handling of ongoing matters and make sure everything is properly documented. You are also closely involved in revenue maximization through upselling, revenue management, cost control, and quality improvements. In addition, you have daily contact with our Housekeeping department, which is facilitated by an external company, to ensure that the day runs smoothly. Every shift brings new challenges, but one thing never changes: you deliver quality and exceed the expectations of both guests and your team.

Job Requirements

• You have at least a bachelor‑level working and thinking ability (Hotel Management School is a plus).
• You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a comparable working environment.
• You inspire your team to go that extra mile for our guests.
• You have an eye for detail while maintaining oversight of the entire department.
• You know how to handle revenue maximization and cost control.
• You are proactive in decision‑making and naturally take responsibility.
• You have a good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written. Knowledge of an additional modern foreign language (French, German, or Spanish) is a strong advantage.
• A flexible schedule is no problem for you.
