Job summary

Hotelprofessionals is seeking a Food & Beverage Management Trainee for their Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht location. Enthusiastic candidates will gain hands-on experience while providing excellent service to guests. This is a unique opportunity for those currently studying Hospitality or Tourism, looking for an internship of five months or longer. We are looking for a Food & Beverage Management Trainee.

Responsibilities

• Be an important member of the overall F&B team.
• Experience our F&B outlets, gaining experience in our Prins & Aap Barstro and assist the Events operations team.
• Provide excellent service to hotel guests and develop extensive knowledge in food & beverage products, and wine & food pairing.
• Familiarize yourself with both operational and administrative tasks within the department.
• Monitor equipment inventory and maintain par stocks of all equipment and supplies as required.
• Incorporate loyalty program benefits and increase loyalty member guest recognition.
• Work with Micros, compute bills, accept payments, and verify cash and credit cards.
• Review SOPs for room service and increase efficiency and productivity of the department.
• Take leadership in opening and closing shifts, including financial closing and opening.
• Assist the Food & Beverage Managers with finance and guest satisfaction tasks.
• Assist the Assistant Food & Beverage Managers and carry out your own tasks at supervisory level.
• Be responsible for the shift and act as a Team leader guiding colleagues and handling guest complaints.
• Carry out own projects related to the improvement of the Food & Drink department.
