Job summary

Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht is seeking a Culinary Intern to join our five-star kitchen team. This hands-on role offers exposure to Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Events and Banquets, with guidance from seasoned chefs and a focus on fresh ingredients and innovative techniques.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in a Culinary Arts or Hospitality degree, passionate about cooking, team‑oriented, and eager to learn our menus and standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Degree with a strong F&B focus.
• Extremely passionate about cooking with some basic skills and knowledge.
• Team player with interpersonal skills important for smooth operations.
• Aware that good customer service is key and care must go into each dish.

Responsibilities

• Becoming familiar with our menus and dishes and growing into an integral part of the team.
• Provide excellent service to hotel guests across kitchen operations.
• Learn techniques and standards and work across Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Events/Banquets.

Qualifications

So, if YOU are...

• currently enrolled in a Culinary Arts or Hospitality Degree with a strong F&B focus;
• extremely passionate about cooking, already having some basic skills and knowledge ;
• a team player, understanding that interpersonal skills are very important for smooth operations;
• aware that good customer service is key and that care must go into each and every dish;
• always seeking opportunities and creative solutions;
• hands-on, pro-active, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic;
• available for five months or longer;
• very communicative in English;
• legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or enrolled in a Dutch Institution (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
