Job summary

Hiab in Meppel is establishing a brand-new European Remote Service & Training Center and seeks a senior Manager to lead the setup, teams, and strategic development.

You will bridge digital data analytics with field service and technical education across Europe, delivering world-class training and ensuring proactive maintenance through HiPerform and ProCare, while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Operations, or similar technical field.
• Proven leadership experience in multicultural or matrix organizations.
• Extensive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting experience with hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems.
• Experience with telemetry solutions, edge gateways, control systems, and M2M connectivity.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Google Data Studio) and data visualization.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern ticketing systems.
• Excellent English communication; other European languages valued.

Responsibilities

• Center setup and build workflows, SLAs, and ticketing processes for the Meppel hub.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and manage remote diagnostics specialists and technical trainers.
• Coordinate with local Customer Service Centers, product development, and global data teams.
• Lead day-to-day monitoring of telemetry alerts and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Drive adoption of HiPerform solutions and ProCare agreements with actionable repair guidance.
• Collaborate with data teams to combine data sources for fleet performance insights.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of technical knowledge articles and documentation.
• Deliver top-tier technical training covering Hiab equipment and digital tools.
• Tailor training curricula for different stakeholder groups and map regional skill gaps.
