Job summary

Hiab, based in Meppel, the Netherlands, is seeking a Product Support Engineer & Trainer for 40 hours per week. You will provide technical support to customers, dealers and service centers, and develop training programs across the Netherlands and Belgium.

You will advise internal teams on sales and installation, create customer-specific PLC solutions, and prepare quotations for crane modifications, while feeding field insights back to manufacturing to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

HBO or MBO level 4 qualification in a relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
Broad and in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, PLC technology, vehicle technology, and mechanics.
Strong instructional and communication skills to convey knowledge effectively.
Fluent Dutch; good command of English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support customers, dealers, and service centers with technical inquiries on-site, by phone, and via remote support.
Advise internal departments on sales and installation/assembly of our cranes and demountable systems.
Develop and test customer-specific solutions, such as custom PLC control systems.
Prepare quotations for modifications or overhauls of cranes/demountables and manage product recalls.
Provide feedback from field experience to manufacturing to drive improvements.
Plan, develop and deliver technical training sessions in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Create work instructions and training documentation.
Provide clear delivery instructions during product handovers.
