Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead the BESS (battery energy storage system) sales initiatives in the Netherlands. You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure, targeting utilities, industrial clients, and renewable developers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in renewable energy technical support, sales, or project management.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of energy storage systems and grid compliance (IEC/IEEE).
• Excellent communication to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Familiar with regulatory frameworks and grid codes for energy storage integration.
• Willing to travel for client meetings and on-site inspections.
• Proficient in IEEE standards, EMS, and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the BESS business with utilities, industrial clients, and renewable energy developers.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to solution design, proposal preparation, and deal closure.
• Collaborate with Technical Solution team to complete OTA and TAS process of all BYD Energy Storage products, and to make BYD Energy Storage new product ready to be used by all customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, including utility companies, grid operators, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure BESS installations meet local and international grid compliance standards. Collaborate with regulatory bodies and transmission operators for seamless BESS integration into the power grid. Stay informed on changes in grid codes, transmission line requirements, and energy storage regulations.
• Willing to travel for client meetings and on-site project inspections.
