Job summary

Vopak is seeking a Business Development Manager - Battery Energy Storage to drive global expansion, originate new BESS projects, and lead complex deal processes from first contact to signed contracts. You will be based at our BESS headquarters in Breda, with regular international travel to identify opportunities and build a local network.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Business Administration or related field, 10+ years in international energy development, fluent English and Dutch, and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business or related field.
• 10+ years in business development or commercial work with international energy projects.
• Deep understanding of power markets and energy transition challenges.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English and Dutch.
• Willingness for frequent international travel.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and investment in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems in new geographies via partnerships and greensfield/brownfield developments.
• Originate new business in energy storage regions and lead deals from first contact to signed agreement.
• Build partnerships with utilities, developers, and industrial clients to enter new markets with the right proposition.
• Navigate international markets and regulatory contexts to secure sustainable energy projects globally.
