Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics in Amsterdam is seeking an Operations Agent Road to coordinate international road freight shipments end to end, ensuring customer requirements are met through accurate quotations, scheduling, documentation, tracking, and billing in line with SOPs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.

You will proactively manage shipment status and exceptions, collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams, and ensure full compliance with safety, security, and Dangerous Goods

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in road freight forwarding.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping regulations, certificates and documentation.
• Strong communication with customers and internal teams.
• Proactive problem solving and attention to detail.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Dutch required.

Responsibilities

• Qualify customer shipping requirements and gather required details for quotations.
• Prepare accurate, profitable quotations.
• Set shipping schedules and coordinate loading, departures and arrivals.
• Coordinate import/export activities and review orders and documents.
• Track delays and issues; resolve customer problems promptly.
• Handle all aspects of international road operations, including data entry and billing.
