Job summary

Airwallex is expanding its People Operations in the EMEA region. We seek a hands-on leader to own end-to-end employee lifecycle operations for ~400 staff across multiple countries, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and scalable processes.

You’ll partner with Payroll, IT, and Legal while driving regional SOPs and automation initiatives. You will contribute to the evolution of our operating model, building better systems for onboarding, payroll inputs, benefits administration, and employment

Qualifications

• 6+ years in People Operations or HR operations in fast-growing software/fintech
• Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, payroll inputs, benefits, HRIS)
• Experience supporting employees across multiple EMEA countries and local employment requirements
• Familiarity with payroll processes and variable compensation
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with ability to manage high-volume operational work

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the regional People Operations function for EMEA, owning end-to-end lifecycle operations for ~400 employees
• Codify and maintain regional SOPs and manage JIRA helpdesk queues
• Partner with Payroll, IT, Compliance on accurate transactions and audits
• Run data audits, improve data integrity, reporting and governance
• Support benefits administration across EMEA markets and country-specific matters
• Handle employment changes, leaves, visas and right-to-work processes
• Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance with local requirements
• Identify inefficiencies and drive automation and AI-enabled improvements
• Support regional and global People projects and system implementations
• Manage workload and foster a collaborative team environment
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with People Partners and Talent Acquisition
