Job summary

Airwallex is seeking an EU & ME Regional MLRO to lead compliance operations across Europe and the Middle East. You will oversee financial crime compliance, act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, and ensure compliance supports regional growth.

This role requires substantial experience in managing compliance teams and regulatory interactions. Ideal candidates will have significant AML experience and strong communication skills to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 12 to 15+ years of experience in AML, Sanctions, and Financial Crime Compliance.
• 5+ years in senior leadership managing multi-jurisdictional compliance teams.
• Proven track record with regional regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the EMEA regional team of in-country MLROs.
• Act as regulatory liaison for EMEA.
• Oversee local financial crime operations.
