Job summary

Adams Multilingual Recruitment is seeking a German-speaking Customer Operations Specialist in Rotterdam. You will manage order-to-cash processes, inventory control, order fulfilment, and distribution, acting as the link between commercial teams and customers.

You should have a degree in Operations/Logistics or 2 years in an ops/logistics role, fluent German and English, and strong Excel and NAV experience. Hybrid work, 40 hrs/week, with a commuting allowance and office near Rotterdam Central.

Job description

One of our international clients, an independent chemical distribution company with offices across Europe, is now looking for a German-speaking Customer Operations Specialist to join their team in Rotterdam.

In this role, you will manage the day-to-day order-to-cash process, covering inventory control, order fulfilment, and distribution. You will be the link between the commercial team and the customer, making sure orders move through the system accurately and on time.

In this role, you will:

• Process and prioritise incoming sales orders, checking accuracy and completeness of order details, shipping documents, and loading instructions
• Prepare and distribute documentation to carriers, customers, and agents within deadlines
• Handle claims as first point of contact, and chase outstanding payments with finance on credit-related matters
• Work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the right internal contact

For this role, we are searching for someone who:

• Holds a bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Facility Management, and/or has 2 years of experience in an operations or logistics department
• Is fluent in German and English
• Is a self-starter with strong attention to detail, comfortable working independently
• Can manage multiple assignments and switch priorities while meeting deadlines
• Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see a task through to closure
• Is competent in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills; experience with Microsoft NAV Business Central is an advantage
• Can communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to internal and external stakeholders
