Customer Operations Specialist
Location: Amersfoort, Netherlands (Hybrid)
Hours: 32-38 hours per week
Contract: Temporary assignment until June 2027
Languages: English required | French or Dutch is an advantage
About the Role
Are you able to quickly master complex customer processes while driving continuous improvement?
We are currently looking for multiple Customer Operations Specialists to join an international customer-facing operations team within a leading organisation in the food and consumer goods sector.
This newly created position plays a key role in ensuring business continuity while supporting operational excellence and process optimisation across multiple European markets. You will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics and Shared Services teams to improve customer performance and streamline operational processes.
This role offers the opportunity to combine operational ownership with project-based improvement initiatives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage and coordinate critical customer-related operational processes
- Support pricing administration, rebate management and contract-related activities
- Monitor customer performance and service KPIs
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive process optimisation initiatives
- Coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional stakeholders
- Support customer inquiries, sample management and commercial requests
- Prepare performance reports, action trackers and management updates
- Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics and Shared Services teams
- Contribute to process standardisation and harmonisation across multiple countries
- Help shape and further develop a newly established function
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree level (HBO) or MBO+ with significant relevant experience
- Experience in Customer Operations, Customer Service, Sales Support, Commercial Operations or Supply Chain
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Analytical approach and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working within international organisations is beneficial
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Pricing and Rebate Management
- Order-to-Cash (O2C) process knowledge
- Contract administration experience
- FMCG, Food Manufacturing or B2B industry experience
- Process improvement or Continuous Improvement experience
- French language skills
- Dutch language skills
Systems & Tools
- ERP systems (SAP experience is highly preferred)
- Microsoft Excel
- Customer management and reporting systems
- KPI monitoring and performance tracking tools
