Job summary

Brasserie Ambassade in Amsterdam is seeking a Breakfast & Day Supervisor to lead the morning team, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming atmosphere. You will coach staff, monitor service levels, and coordinate breakfast and lunch operations with the F&B team.

You will drive on-floor training, safety compliance, and guest satisfaction while collaborating with the F&B Manager to implement ideas and improvements. Early shifts start around 06:00–08:00, with weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in (higher-end) hotel or restaurant sector.
• Experience leading on the floor and supervising breakfast teams.
• Thorough knowledge of F&B operations, including product knowledge and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
• Energetic and inspiring leadership to create a positive, efficient work environment.
• Relevant hospitality certifications (e.g., SVH, HACCP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily activities of the breakfast team.
• Provide on-floor feedback to team members.
• Ensure excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Address guest issues and complaints professionally.
• Manage orders and inventory for breakfast and restaurant.
• Contribute to breakfast buffet development with the F&B team.
• Train and develop team members in product knowledge, barista skills, etiquette, and safety.
