Job summary

Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead the breakfast kitchen operation at its Amsterdam location. You will oversee breakfast production, buffet presentation and live cooking stations while guiding the team to deliver high-quality food and outstanding guest satisfaction.

You will coordinate early-morning prep, manage service flow and work closely with F&B and Front Office to anticipate guest needs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing breakfast buffets, live cooking stations and high-volume morning service.
• Coaching and leadership experience to guide a breakfast kitchen team.
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to plan early-morning preparation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily breakfast operation, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation across the buffet and live cooking stations.
• Deliver a seamless breakfast experience by maintaining product freshness and high service standards.
• Ensure SOPs are followed and identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate early-morning preparation, production planning and service flow for a smooth operation.
• Supervise, coach and support the breakfast kitchen team to foster collaboration and improvement.
• Monitor food costs, ordering, stock levels and waste.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Work with Food & Beverage and Front Office teams to meet guest needs.
