Job summary

Savoy Hotel Rotterdam, part of Leonardo Hotels Benelux, is seeking a Breakfast Employee to start early mornings. You will greet guests, bake croissants, serve cappuccino, and keep the breakfast area welcoming and tidy. You’ll also chat with guests about local spots in Amsterdam and help prepare lunch for colleagues in the canteen.

The role requires a guest-first attitude, flexibility, and 2+ years in hospitality, with Dutch and English fluency. EU work eligibility is needed.

Qualifications

• Guest-first approach guiding guest interactions.

• Receptionist experience with customer service.
• F&B experience is a plus.
• Works well independently and in a team.

About The Job

Are you a true early riser and do you just love the early morning? Do you take care of those tasty, fresh croissants? Are you the one who can make sure that our guests have a fantastic morning? If so, then you could be our new Breakfast Employee!

What will you be doing?

Early in the morning, you enter the breakfast restaurant and check the schedule for any special events to make sure everything is in order. Has everything been restocked? Are the tables properly arranged and clean? When the first visitors show up, you have freshly baked croissants ready and serve them a delicious cappuccino. Meanwhile, you have a nice chat with your guests. You can't resist telling them about your favorite places in Amsterdam and that new lunch spot by the waterside. After cleaning your last table, it’s time to prepare everything for the next day. You arrange lunch for your colleagues in the canteen.

Who are we?

Savoy Hotel Rotterdam is part of Leonardo Hotels and was completely renovated in April 2019. The hotel now offers 95 luxurious hotel rooms and a cool Piet le Blanc Suite where you can play games, watch movies or listen to music. The lobby has a cozy open space where you can go for breakfast, lunch, drink coffee and in the evening get some work done or catch up with colleagues or friends over a drink or snack.

Job Requirements

WHO ARE YOU

• You always put the guest first.
• You are flexible, energetic and calm in any situation.
• You have experience as a receptionist; F&B experience is a plus.
• You work well independently and in a team.
• You are proactive, responsible and a real go-getter.
• Experience with reservation systems and first-aid is an advantage.
• You speak fluent Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
• At least two years of hospitality experience.
• You can easily travel to work at all times.

To be considered for this role, applicants must be an EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
