Job summary

Rosewood Amsterdam is seeking an Assistant Purchasing Manager to lead the Purchasing department alongside the Director of Purchasing. You will ensure cost-effective sourcing, maintain supplier relationships, and drive inventory optimization to support hotel operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold company standards, improve processes, and implement cost-saving initiatives while mentoring the purchasing team for ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management, ideally in hospitality.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control principles.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with procurement platforms such as Birchstreet.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Purchasing in daily operations and act as a key contact in their absence.
• Oversee purchasing activities and assist the team with purchase orders.
• Review supplier agreements and support pricing, service levels, and terms negotiations.
