Job summary

Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel seeks a Procurement Manager to oversee the purchasing function across the hotel, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring timely stock and service levels to support guest experiences.

You will lead daily purchasing operations, build supplier partnerships, monitor costs and drive process improvements while collaborating with department heads to meet operational needs. English fluency is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory management, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong negotiation skills with commercial awareness and relationship-building.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to lead a team but also contribute hands-on when needed.
• Proficient in Excel and purchasing/inventory management software.
• Good understanding of purchasing procedures, inventory control and financial processes.
• Strong communication skills; fluent in English (Dutch a plus).

The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is looking for you as our new Procurement Manager!

What are my responsibilities?

As our Procurement Manager, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of goods and services across the hotel. From negotiating with suppliers to overseeing inventory and purchasing processes, you make sure our teams have everything they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You lead the daily operations of the Purchasing department, balancing cost efficiency, quality and operational needs. With your hands on approach and commercial mindset, you continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and strengthen supplier partnerships.

• You have previous experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory management, preferably within hospitality.
• You are a confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
• You are organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• You enjoy leading a team but are equally happy to roll up your sleeves and help out when needed.
• You are proficient in Excel and purchasing/inventory management software.
• You have a good understanding of purchasing procedures, inventory control and financial processes.
• You have strong communication skills and are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• You bring a proactive mindset, a sense of ownership and a genuine passion for hospitality.
