Job summary

Rosewood Hotel Group in Amsterdam seeks an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead all aspects of the hotel's engineering operation. You will oversee preventive maintenance, support capital projects, and ensure the safe, efficient operation of building systems to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury environment.

As a senior leader, you will mentor the engineering team, manage budgets and service contracts, and collaborate with operations and external partners to uphold safety,

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership experience in luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and asset management.
• Excellent project management and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the hotel's engineering operation and strategy.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Support capital expenditure projects, renovations and refurbishments.
• Ensure safe, compliant operation of building systems and facilities.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and manage budgets, contracts and cost controls.
