Job summary

Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead all purchasing operations, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost-effective procurement across the hotel. You will oversee inventory, implement process improvements, and collaborate with department heads to meet guest-service goals.

We value hands-on leadership, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English, with Dutch a plus. This full-time role offers growth opportunities within a premier hospitality brand in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• You have previous experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory management, preferably within hospitality.
• You are a confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
• You are organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• You are proficient in Excel and purchasing/inventory management software.
• You have a good understanding of purchasing procedures, inventory control and financial processes.
• You have strong communication skills and are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• You bring a proactive mindset, a sense of ownership and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily purchasing, receiving, storage and distribution of goods.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate prices and ensure competitive purchasing conditions.
• Manage inventory, stock levels and monthly stocktaking.
• Monitor purchasing costs, budgets and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and financial controls.
• Collaborate with department leaders to meet operational needs.
• Lead and support the Purchasing team, taking a hands-on approach when needed.
