Job summary

Rosewood Hotel Group in Amsterdam seeks an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead all aspects of the property's engineering operations, partnering with the Director of Engineering to drive reliability, safety and sustainability across building systems.

You will mentor the engineering team, oversee preventive maintenance, support capital projects, and ensure compliant, efficient facilities that deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Engineering leadership role within luxury hotel, resort or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Coaches, develops and motivates engineering professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team to meet objectives.
• Oversee preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Support capital projects, renovations and refurbishments.
• Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, kitchen and laundry systems.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and cost-control across operations.
• Manage budgets, service contracts and procurement activities.
• Drive sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.
