A Malaysian recruitment agency is looking for an experienced IT Manager to define and lead the IT roadmap aligned with business and manufacturing objectives. The role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity while building a high-performing IT team. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field and 5–8 years of IT experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial role. Strong programming skills in languages such as PHP, Python, and Java are essential.
Define and lead the IT roadmap aligned with business and manufacturing objectives.
Oversee all IT infrastructure, applications, ERP systems, cybersecurity, and data governance.
Lead system development, customization, and integration, with active involvement in programming where required.
Partner closely with senior management, operations, and engineering teams to deliver automation and digital initiatives.
Manage IT budgets, vendors, and technology investments to ensure cost efficiency and scalability.
Establish robust IT governance, security controls, disaster recovery, and compliance standards.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or lead role.
Strong programming experience (e.g. PHP, Python, Java, .NET, SQL, or equivalent).
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments is an advantage.
Solid knowledge of ERP systems, databases, networks, and cybersecurity.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work hands‑on when required.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferably a local Sabahan
