Job summary

MAPEI MALAYSIA SDN BHD is recruiting a field-based Sales Professional to promote waterproofing and resilient flooring solutions. You will identify project opportunities, provide technical recommendations, secure product approvals, and build strong relationships with contractors, applicators, consultants and key stakeholders to drive sales growth.

You will lead generation, client relationship management, product promotion, and negotiations while staying informed on market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years sales experience in construction materials or building chemical industry.
• Knowledge of construction projects, processes and market players.
• Ability to explain product specifications to construction professionals.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Strong relationships with main contractors and applicators.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: identify and pursue sales opportunities with contractors, developers, architects, and distributors.
• Client relationship management: build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.
• Product promotion: promote waterproofing and resilient flooring solutions to clients and contractors.
• Sales negotiation: negotiate contracts, terms and pricing to secure orders.
• Market intelligence: stay updated on market trends, pricing, and competitor products.
• Technical knowledge: communicate technical aspects of construction materials to clients.
• Sales target achievement: meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs.
• Sales reporting: maintain records of sales and progress; report forecasts to management.
• Collection: follow up to ensure on-time payments.
