Job summary

Ocean Vantage Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control and issuance of materials, tools, equipment and spares. You will supervise warehouse staff, maintain records and ensure HSSE compliance.

The role requires coordinating with multiple teams to ensure timely material delivery to projects, maintaining stock accuracy and safe handling practices. 2+ years in warehouse operations preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience supervising warehouse personnel is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control, material handling, receiving and issuing processes.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and Word; ERP/Inventory systems experience is a plus.
• Good organizational, coordination and record-keeping skills.

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking and issuing materials.
• Coordinate receipt and dispatch of materials, equipment, tools and spare parts.
• Verify items against POs, DOs, specs and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock identification/traceability.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess, damaged or obsolete items.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with reconciliations.
• Ensure proper labelling, storage, preservation and safe handling.
• Supervise personnel and allocate daily tasks for smooth operations.
• Coordinate with Materials, Procurement, Logistics, Maintenance, Operations and project teams.
• Ensure timely issuance/delivery to sites and maintain warehouse documentation.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and organized Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and issuance of materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts. The role will ensure warehouse activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with Company and HSSE requirements.

The successful candidate will supervise warehouse personnel, maintain proper inventory records, coordinate material movements, and ensure the warehouse remains safe, clean, and well-organized.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, checking, storing, picking, and issuing materials.

Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and other items.

Verify received items against purchase orders, delivery orders, specifications, and supporting documents.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock identification and traceability.

Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess, damaged, or obsolete items.

Conduct regular stock counts and assist with periodic physical inventory checks and reconciliation.

Ensure materials are properly labelled, stored, preserved, and protected from damage or deterioration.

Supervise warehouse personnel and allocate daily tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Coordinate with Materials, Procurement, Logistics, Maintenance, Operations, and project teams on material requirements.

Ensure timely issuance and delivery of materials to operational and project sites.

Maintain proper warehouse documentation, including receiving, issuing, transfer, and inventory records.

Ensure proper housekeeping, storage practices, and safe handling of materials within the warehouse.

Monitor compliance with HSSE requirements, Company procedures, and warehouse controls.

Report discrepancies, damaged materials, unsafe conditions, and other warehouse issues to Management.

Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in an engineering, maintenance, construction, or industrial environment.

Experience supervising warehouse personnel will be an advantage.

Basic knowledge of inventory control, material handling, receiving, and issuing processes.

Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.

Experience using ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems will be an advantage.

Good organizational, coordination, and record-keeping skills.

Responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work in a warehouse and operational environment.

Physically fit and able to perform material handling activities when required.
