Job summary

Nippon Express (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse Operations Team Leader to manage daily floor activities in the inbound or outbound area. You will assign operators, monitor progress, brief the team, and ensure picking accuracy, safety, 5S, and SOP adherence.

In this hands-on role, you will check daily targets, orchestrate shift tasks, and coordinate with the Supervisor to move operators as workload changes. The position requires 1–2 years in warehousing and basic English communication.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Experience as a Line Leader, Sub-Leader, or Senior Warehouse Operator is an advantage
• Conversational English for daily instructions, team briefings, and basic workplace communication
• Basic experience with WMS, RF scanners, and Excel or Google Sheets
• Able to lead operators, give clear instructions, and follow up on work progress
• Responsible, alert, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required

Responsibilities

• Check daily target volumes and work priorities at the start of the shift

• Support the team in clearing pending work and meeting daily targets

• Lead short daily team briefings covering targets, work assignments, and safety reminders
• Check and record mis-picks and guide operators on correct picking procedures

Job description

The Warehouse Operations Team Leader leads the daily work on the warehouse floor within the assigned Inbound or Outbound area. The role is responsible for assigning operators, monitoring hourly work progress, supporting team briefings, checking picking accuracy, and ensuring safety, 5S, and SOP requirements are followed.
