Job summary

BACTIGUARD (SOUTH EAST ASIA) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Centre Manager to lead end-to-end distribution centre operations, including inbound, receiving, put-away, storage, picking and outbound dispatch.

You will develop manpower plans, monitor KPIs, optimize layout and implement 5S/Kaizen, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and external service providers to ensure accurate orders and cost-efficient service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of warehouse/logistics experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job description

Manage the end‑to‑end Distribution Centre Operation, including inbound, receiving, put‑away, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, staging and outbound dispatch.

Develop manpower plans, schedules and resource requirement based on demand forecast and operational volumes.

Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and dispatched within agreed service levels.

Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counting, stocktake, reconciliation and systematic inventory controls.

Manage ERP transactions and ensure system inventory accurately reflect physical stock.

Monitor daily, weekly and monthly DC performance against agreed KPI’s

Optimise warehouse layout, slotting, storage capacity, material flow and picking routes.

Manage peak‑season capacity planning and contingency arrangements.

Control labour, overtime, equipment and operating cost.

Ensure effective utilisation and maintenance of material -handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

Ensure compliance with occupational safety, environmental, security and company requirements.

Drive 5S, Lean, Kaizen and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Investigate operational incidents, inventory discrepancies, damages, picking errors, customer complaint on the discrepancies shipped and implement corrective actions.

Work closely with Logistic, Procurement, Customer Service, Planning, Finance, Quality, Production and other functions to ensure seamless order fulfilment.

Manage 3PL, s contractors and external service providers where applicable.

Prepare management reports covering inventory, service levels, labour and cost performance.

Lead warehouse expansion, automation, Warehouse Management System implementation and process design.

Build a high‑performance culture through coaching, training, performance management and succession planning.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years’ working experience in Warehouse/Logistics

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Proficiency in using software and tools.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
