Bactiguard (South East Asia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a hands-on yet strategic Supply Chain leader to build a resilient, compliant, and scalable supply chain across 2 Penang sites and 40+ international markets.
You will lead a 10+ team spanning procurement, planning, logistics, and customer service to support growth in the medical device sector. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in SCM with 5+ in leadership, strong ERP skills, ISO 13485 knowledge, and a proven track record of driving cost efficiency
We are looking for a hands‑on yet strategic Supply Chain leader who can see the bigger picture while remaining close to operational realities.
You should be comfortable managing international complexity, developing suppliers, solving supply challenges, and working cross‑functionally in a regulated manufacturing environment. Most importantly, you will have the leadership capability to build a resilient, efficient, compliant, and scalable supply chain that supports both operational excellence and future business growth.
You will be managing a team of more than 10 people across 2 sites in the penang area. The team is divided into customer service, planning, warehouse and procurement. We are currently in the process of expanding our distribution setup in order to manage increasing international demand. We currently sell our products in more than 40 international markets. We are headquartered in Sweden but has our divisional leadership in Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
Manage end-to-end supply chain strategies that drive operational efficiency, optimize lead times, and optimize operating costs.
Align regional and global supply chain strategies directly with business growth objectives, new market expansion, and commercial targets.
Scale the supply chain infrastructure to support our specialized medical device product portfolios.
Oversee advanced demand and supply planning models to balance market volatility with manufacturing constraints.
Oversee production scheduling workflows to ensure smooth throughput, optimal capacity utilization, and flawless execution against customer orders in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
Direct strategic sourcing initiatives for critical raw materials, medical‑grade packaging and contract manufacturing partners.
Negotiate long‑term master service agreements (MSAs) and supply contracts, locking in favourable terms and pricing without compromising quality.
Manage setup in compliance with established SCM KPIs, monitoring vendor performance, risk profiles, and strict compliance with medical quality agreements.
Oversee logistics operations, including international freight forwarding, custom clearances, and secondary distribution.
Ensure stringent cold‑chain compliance and environmental controls for temperature‑sensitive wound care products and medical devices.
Optimize warehousing and distribution footprints (including 3PL partnerships) to maximize On‑Time In‑Full (OTIF) delivery metrics.
Establish inventory control policies, including safety stock calculations, reorder thresholds, and economic order quantities.
Drive proactive tracking and mitigation plans for slow‑moving, near‑expiry, or obsolete (SLOB) inventory.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain 100% data integrity for regulatory and financial compliance audits.
Build robust business continuity and dual‑sourcing contingency plans to insulate the supply chain from global disruptions, raw material shortages, or geopolitical risks.
Ensure strict adherence to ISO 13485, cGMP, ISO 14001, and international medical device regulatory bodies.
Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain complete track‑and‑trace traceability from raw material suppliers to end‑users for seamless recall readiness.
Develop and manage the comprehensive supply chain operational costs.
Drive continuous cost‑optimization initiatives, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and value engineering projects.
Lead, mentor, and elevate the supply chain team (covering procurement, planning, logistics, customer service and warehouse functions).
Foster a collaborative, audit‑ready, and high‑performance culture.
Partner closely with QA, Production, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, and Commercial Sales to streamline
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related science/engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
Industry Background: Direct, hands‑on experience within the Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, or Advanced Wound Management sector is a distinct and vital advantage.
Regulatory Acumen: Deep, practical knowledge of medical device quality management systems (ISO 13485) and traceability mandates.
Advanced proficiency in major ERP systems and advanced planning tools. The company is currently implementing new ERP in operations
