Job summary

TT Freight Group Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Leader to oversee and optimize daily warehouse activities in Klang, Malaysia. You will manage receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory control while ensuring safety compliance and cost-effective operations.

You will lead a team, drive process improvements, and coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customer service to meet company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management are an added advantage.
• 8–10 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, transportation, distribution, or 3PL operations.
• 3–5 years in a senior management or leadership position managing warehouse and delivery operations.
• Fluency in Chinese (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in warehouse management, container unloading and deconsolidation, delivery operations, manpower planning, shortage and discrepancy control, and operational process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to achieve high performance.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform cycle counts.
• Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely delivery and dispatch.

• Track KPIs and prepare daily to monthly performance reports.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

Job description

To oversee and optimize daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, timely dispatch and delivery, safety compliance, cost control, and high team performance in support of overall logistics and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Warehouse Operations

• Supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods
• Monitor workflow to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Resolve operational issues or delays promptly

2. Staff Management & Training

• Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to achieve high performance
• Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback
• Maintain a motivated and safe work environment

3. Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular cycle counts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or inventory losses
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials

4. Shipment & Delivery Coordination

• Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely delivery and dispatch
• Monitor shipment schedules, route planning, and delivery performance
• Liaise with carriers or freight forwarders as required

5. Warehouse Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
• Implement corrective actions to prevent accidents or non-compliance

6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, and operational efficiency
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
• Analyze performance data and recommend improvements

7. Process Improvement & Optimization

• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in warehouse processes
• Implement process improvements to optimize workflow, storage, and resource allocation
• Introduce best practices in warehouse operations

8. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with procurement, logistics, customer service, and other departments
• Provide operational updates and ensure alignment with company objectives
• Facilitate smooth communication between office and warehouse teams.

9. Maintenance Cost & Budgeting

• Monitor maintenance costs to ensure budget efficiency
• Track and improve fleet performance and delivery efficiency
• Coordinate with Fleet Team and Dispatch for operational accuracy

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management are an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, transportation, distribution, or 3PL operations.
• Minimum 3-5 years in a senior management or leadership position managing warehouse and delivery operations.
• Fluency in Chinese (spoken and written) is mandatory due to daily communication with China operations team.
• Strong hands-on experience in:

• Working knowledge of freight forwarding and import-export processes is required.
• Experience in cross-border logistics operations is highly preferred.
