Job summary

Sonoco Products (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd invites skilled Warehouse Executive to join our Sungai Buloh facility. You will oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of Raw Materials and Finished Goods, manage staff and ensure accuracy in our inventory system while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Business Management or Logistics, at least 3 years in a manufacturing warehouse environment, and proficiency with MS Office and Oracle WMS.

• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Oracle WMS.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of material stock position and stock levels in inventory management system.
• Ensure all warehouse operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Supervise warehouse staff, forklift drivers and daily operation activities.
• Manage and coordinate warehouse equipment maintenance and repair.
• Conduct regular safety training and enforce safety regulations.
• Regularly update and report on inventory levels, quality control, order fulfilment and productivity.
• Collaborate with customer services to address inquiries and resolve issues related to warehouse operations.

Job description

The Warehouse Executive key responsibilities are to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of Raw Material and Finished Goods. This role involves overseeing the warehouse staff, adhering to the compliances with inventory management process and safety procedure, and maintaining a high level of data accuracy.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Ensure accuracy of material stock position and stock level in inventory management system

Ensure all warehouse operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures

Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies

Supervising a group of warehouse staff, forklift drivers and daily operation activities

Manage and coordinate warehouse equipment maintenance and repair

Conduct regular safety training and enforce safety regulation

Regular update and report on all warehouse activities including inventory levels, quality control measures, order fulfilment and productivity

Collaborate with customer services team to address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to warehouse operations

Education/Academic Background:

Minimum Diploma or Degree holder in Business Management, Logistic or related field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ work experience in manufacturing warehouse management environment preferably within the consumer goods or FMCG industry

Knowledge & Skill:

Proficient with Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook

Well versed with warehouse management system such as Oracle

Knowledge of handling forklift and warehouse documentation

Good communication skills and able to interact with all levels of people

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management

A highly motivated individual who is willing to take initiatives and follow up with details

Able to work in a fast-pace environment and handle multiple tasks

Works well in a team environment and able to work under challenging situations

Strong communication ability and able to provide necessary advice, guidance, and support
