Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintaining inventory records for all items to ensure only authorized materials are stored.
• Coordinating with departments to ensure timely orders and inform customers about status.
• Ensuring staff follow inventory control, packaging, and safety procedures.
• Ordering new inventory or renting storage space as needed.
• Reviewing inventory reports and working with suppliers to resolve issues.
• Coordinating with shipping companies for delivery of items purchased online or by phone.
• Communicating order status to customers via email or phone.
• Developing storage and retrieval systems to maximize space and security.
• Assisting in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Maintaining maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
• Other duties assigned.

Job description

Maintaining inventory records for all incoming and outgoing items to ensure that only authorized materials are stored in the warehouse.

Coordinating with other departments to ensure that orders are shipped on time, damaged goods are replaced, and customers are kept informed about their orders' status.

Ensuring that warehouse staff members are following company policies and procedures for inventory control and packaging, including safety measures such as wearing protective gear when handling hazardous materials.

Performing administrative tasks such as ordering new inventory items or renting new storage space when needed.

Reviewing inventory reports to identify problems with supply levels or product quality and working with suppliers to resolve these issues.

Coordinating with shipping companies to arrange for delivery of items purchased online or over the phone.

Communicating with customers about order status using email or phone.

Coordinating with other staff members to develop storage and retrieval systems that maximize space efficiency and security of materials.

Assisting in the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for machinery, equipment, and facilities.

Maintaining maintenance records, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.

Reviewing inventory reports to identify problems with supply levels or product quality and working with suppliers to resolve these issues.
