Description
- Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring smooth inventory flow and order fulfilment.
- Lead and manage a small warehouse with a team of approximately 12-14 employees, including drivers and warehouse personnel.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations, FIFO compliance, and expiry-date management.
- Supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing, and distribution activities.
- Monitor warehouse productivity and maintain a high standard of operational discipline and housekeeping.
- Work closely with operational leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure service levels are achieved.
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions within the warehouse management system.
- Support stock planning and optimisation of warehouse space utilisation.
- Oversee quality control checks before dispatch and maintain accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and logistics partners to ensure operational continuity.
- Drive process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and inventory control.
Profile
A successful Warehouse Assistant Manager should have:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience.
- Proven experience leading warehouse teams in a hands-on operational environment.
- Familiar with inventory management, stock control, FIFO processes, and expiry-date management.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured and organised working style.
- Comfortable spending significant time on the warehouse floor supervising daily activities.
- Able to work effectively with operational teams and stakeholders across different functions.
- Proficient in warehouse systems and inventory reporting.
- Mandarin-speaking capability is highly preferred due to stakeholder communication requirements.
- Possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
