Job summary

ALL HAPPY SDN. BHD. in Penang, Malaysia seeks an operational Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day logistics, ensure accurate stock records, and lead the ground operations team reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

You will optimize delivery routes, coordinate with logistics drivers, plan manpower across shifts, and enforce safety and housekeeping standards. Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 3-5 years of warehouse/logistics operations experience with supervisory exposure.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receiving & Inbound Operations: monitor incoming shipments, inspect goods for accuracy/damage, ensure timely offloading and staging.
• Inventory Control: lead cycle counts and annual stock counts, reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and WMS/ERP system.
• Delivery Route Optimization: coordinate with drivers to schedule and track daily routes for cost and on-time fulfillment.
• Manpower & Shift Planning: assign floor duties, manage shift schedules, allocate headcount based on daily volume.
• Team Supervision: mentor supervisors, enforce safety protocols and maintain warehouse housekeeping.

Job description

We are seeking an operational Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day logisitics, streamline inventory accuracy, and lead our ground operations team. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth receiving, precise stock counts, optimized route planning, and effective manpower allocation.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inbound Operations: Monitor all incoming shipments, inspect goods for accuracy/damage, and ensure timely offloading and staging.

Inventory Control: Lead regular cycle counts and annual stock counts; reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and the WMS/ERP system.

Delivery Route Optimization: Coordinate with logistics drivers and planners to schedule, optimize, and track daily delivery routes for cost-efficiency and on-time fulfillment.

Manpower & Shift Planning: Assign floor duties, manage shift schedules, and allocate headcount based on daily volume spikes and workload priorities.

Team Supervision: Mentor warehouse supervisors and floor operators, enforce safety protocols (OSHA/DOSH), and maintain strict warehouse housekeeping.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or if you are super experienced, the certificates can be exempted.

Wishfully 3-5 years of working experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. As long as you work as warehouse manager or supervisor, your resume will be considered.

Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Understanding of inventory control practices and local delivery route planning.

Conflict-resolution, and shift-management skills.

Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is an added advantage).
