Client Background

We are representing a well-known toy company with a strong portfolio of quality brands at affordable prices. As they expand rapidly into new and existing markets in Malaysia, they are looking for a skilled Trade Marketing Manager to handle data management, lead BTL activities, and support their growth.

Job Description
  • Develop trade marketing strategies and promotional plans, both short- and long-term, for each key account and channel (including emerging ones), ensuring alignment with brand strategy and optimising potential.
  • Oversee and manage the provision of trade materials (POSM, promotions, displays) and ensure flawless execution at store level, including merchandising and new product launches.
  • Assist in trade marketing budget planning, monitor spending, and maximise ROI to achieve financial and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure the seamless execution of marketing messages, promotions, packaging and pricing changes, new product launches, and accurate forecasting for timely and effective in-store implementation.
  • Analyse shopper insights, market trends, competitor activities, and sales data, providing regular reports on account performance and evaluating trade activity effectiveness to inform future strategies.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or related fields.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in Toys or FMCG trade marketing, in modern trade and general trade channels.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing trade marketing strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in analysing sales data and identifying market trends.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
