Job summary

Optimum Infosolutions (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Merchant Zone Manager to support merchant engagement and business growth in the Penang region. You will engage directly with merchant partners, conduct regular face-to-face visits, introduce digital tools and help merchants improve platform adoption and performance.

The role requires 3-5 years in sales, strong communication skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in sales; sales experience is mandatory.
• Experience in business development, field sales, territory sales or customer-facing sales is preferred.
• Account management experience is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage.
• Must be currently based in Miri, Sarawak.
• Comfortable with regular face-to-face merchant visits and field-based activities.

Responsibilities

• Merchant Engagement & Relationship Management: conduct regular face-to-face visits with merchant partners and plan daily schedules; educate merchants on digital tools and features; encourage adoption of business features.
• Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: identify and resolve merchant operational issues; gather feedback; follow up to ensure resolution; document engagement strategies.
• Performance Monitoring & Collaboration: monitor engagement KPIs and tool adoption; prepare field activity reports; work with Sales, Operations, Marketing and Product teams; support process improvements.
